GENERAL INFORMATION

Our association evenings are open to all former TA personnel and it is hoped
that news of this new opportunity to meet up with old friends will
spread by 'word of mouth'. With that in mind, former Squadron
personnel are strongly encouraged to pass on the news of the
formation of the association to any other old comrades.

Once the association has established a more formal footing
more detailed information will be published here.

If you have any questions regarding the association please feel free
to contact the secretary Bob Dallaway bobdallaway@blueyonder.co.uk
or contact the PSAO (Captain Len Read) at 210 Squadron
at 151TPT-210-PSAO@mod.uk .

The committee would like to thank Major Gotobed, Captain Read
and the rest of the Squadron for their kind support with the
formation of the association.

ASSOCIATION HISTORY

19th April 2009
On Sunday 19th April 2009 at Princess Royal House a group of former
210 Squadron members gathered to discuss the idea of forming
an 'old comrades' association. A decision was taken to assemble
a temporary committee which would deal with the formation
of the association and it had its first meeting that afternoon.

Major Paul Gotobed (210 Squadron OC) kindly offered to allow
the association to meet at SHQ on drill nights. Therefore, the
committee has decided that the association should hold social
evenings at SHQ on agreed dates from 8:30pm.

30th June 2009
A social evening at which over 20 people attended.

25 August 2009 - BBQ Evening
An excellent evening at which we had over 30 people attending.

27 October 2009 - Meeting followed by Social
At this meeting we discussed the formalisation
of the Association status with the RLC Association as
well as the social calendar for 2010 .
The OC gave us an excellent summary of the Squadron's
performance during 2009 and the outlook for 2010.
Attendance = 22

8th November - Remembrance Sunday
Former 210 personnel attended the service and some took part
in the parade. Once again the Squadron kindly served guests with
lunch afterwards.

26th January - Tuesday night social held at SHQ - twelve old
comrades met up for drinks and a natter.
