Radio tray assembly

New woodwork for the radio tray was made out of plywood based on the profile of the original items.

The apertures for the servos are made to accommodate standard servos.

The servo mounts need further strengthening with the addition of extra wood.

The backplate was mounted first; note the addition of large washers to secure the load of the servo tray.

The floor is then held in place prior to the use of slow curing epoxy for a strong bond.

The side plates added next.

Once the components have been glued together the whole assembly can be removed to receive fuel proof treatment.

The whole assembly is treated to clear fuel proof lacquer.
