Radio tray assembly |
New woodwork for the radio tray was made out of plywood based on the profile of the original items. |
The apertures for the servos are made to accommodate standard servos. |
The servo mounts need further strengthening with the addition of extra wood. |
The backplate was mounted first; note the addition of large washers to secure the load of the servo tray. |
The floor is then held in place prior to the use of slow curing epoxy for a strong bond. |
The side plates added next. |
Once the components have been glued together the whole assembly can be removed to receive fuel proof treatment. |
The whole assembly is treated to clear fuel proof lacquer. |
