Cabin

The canopy required minor trimming. To make it easier to see where to cut a bright trim tape was used.

To ensure that the canopy did not foul the main gear additional support was provided by gluing fibreglass matting to the inside.

The clear lexan needed to be scuffed to allow the paint to key properly to the outside of the canopy. Then it was masked prior to having the base coat applied.

The spoiler also needed to be scuffed and strengthened prior to being painted.

The canopy was painted a base coat of white.

Then prepared for its second colour…

…and after the masking tape had been removed it was left to dry.

The cabin installed for the first time provided a rough idea of the finished product.

The white window frames are pre cut vinyl stickers included in the kit and needed a lot of patience to be applied properly.
