The components for the collective are very similar to those used on the Shuttle range. |
|

|
|
|
For added security two grub screws were used to ensure that the ball links did not loosen in the elevator control assembly during flight. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Another deviation from the instructions was to upgrade the bushings to radial bearings for the elevator bell crank which also acts as the anti rotation guide for the swashplate. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
When complete the assembly is very strong. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
When assembled correctly the collective pitch mechanism is very smooth. |
