Collective pitch control

The components for the collective are very similar to those used on the Shuttle range.

For added security two grub screws were used to ensure that the ball links did not loosen in the elevator control assembly during flight.

Another deviation from the instructions was to upgrade the bushings to radial bearings for the elevator bell crank which also acts as the anti rotation guide for the swashplate.

When complete the assembly is very strong.

When assembled correctly the collective pitch mechanism is very smooth.
