Hirobo Bell UH-1B

Collective pitch control

This assembly is the same on the collective pitch control on the Schweizer 300. Given that this assembly will be visible through an air intake in the fuselage the silver components have been covered in black heat shrink tubing.

The elevator bell crank is upgraded with a pair of ballraces. The ballraces are in the foreground while the standard bushings are shown behind.

The remaining assembly is straight forward and requires no modification.

The next complaint is about the inclusion of a plastic swashplate, inappropriate in a machine that requires so much effort to build. Although ballraced, this unit is a waste of plastic and the ballrace!

A black anodised swashplate completes the assembly.
