The Bell Aircraft history is well documented and
there are several good books available. For this project two books stand out for being
particularly useful: Bell Aircraft since 1935 by A J Pelletier
published by Putnam; and The Bell Helicopter Textron Story by D A Brown published by published by Aerofax. |

The internet was an invaluable source of
photographic documentation. For this project the Bell 47 Web continued to prove to be useful with their photographic

Museums are also an important source of documentation. This example is currently at the British Helicopter Museum and was the only Bell 47 H1 ever registered in Europe. |
