In a departure from the instructions an additional floor was added to provide a flat mount for the radio receiver and the gyro. Here we see it upside down with additional bracing added for strength. |

Another modification was to add a wooden tray specifically to hold the battery. The instructions suggested mounting it to the inside of the fibreglass cabin but it was felt that this did not offer enough support for a heavy battery - particularly during heavy landings. |

The cabin was removed from the mechanics so that all the woodwork could be coated in epoxy to make it fuel proof and to add strength. |

|
The cabin was then mounted on the mechanics with the servo leads subtly entering the cabin. Note, the servo leads have been covered with black spiral binding to prevent chaffing of the wires. |

|
In addition to using double-sided tape Velcro straps were also used as security to hold the receiver and battery in place. |

|
|
|
With the tail complete the large capacity receiver battery could be subtly moved fore and aft to ensure that the Cof G was as close as possible to the main mast. No further weight was needed to balance the machine. |

|
|
|
With the radio equipment installed the only other component that needed to be fitted was the canopy. The only ingredient required was patience! |
