This model is the G4 variant with the larger
saddle fuel tanks. As such larger Dubro 6oz fuel tanks replaced the standard
5oz tanks included in the kit. Needless to say, the petrol fuel stoppers were required – available as additional items. |

The larger 6oz items were test fitted to ensure
they will fit within the scale covers included in the kit. As it happens, these scale fuel tank covers are not very good reproductions of the full size and are modified at a later stage. |

The plumbing is straightforward and required no
further modification. Note: the fuel tubing to the clunk included in the Hirobo kit was not suitable for petrol and was subsequently replaced! |

The plumbing for the two saddle tanks is akin to that found on aerobatic machines with a header tank – in this case the header tank is as big as the main tank! |

Clamps were used on each of the fuel tube junctions to ensure a tight fit. |

The woodwork included in the kit was of superior quality and pre cut. In this case two tank mounts were required. |
The wood was lightly sanded and coated in epoxy to add strength and protect against the petrol. The aluminium mounts were anodised black |

Foam pads were used to absorb some of the vibration to minimise against fuel foaming. |
