The tail drive gearbox if factory assembled, however, it was dismantled so that the aluminium could be anodised black. |

With the exception of the anodising this is how the tail drive gearbox left the factory. |

The tail structure is largely pre fabricated. Both the tail boom and the shaft were well packed and arrived intact. |

The tail drive gearbox has the ability for the gear mesh to be adjusted. The tail structure fitted without modification. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The drive shaft needed patience to be fitted so that it ran straight – each of the bearing holders have elongated holes to allow for slight adjustment to ensure that the three bearings are inline. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The universal joints at each end of the shaft were preinstalled. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Construction of the tail boom continued without modification. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The tail gearbox was factory assembled and the control mechanism was suitably smooth. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The tail blades and blade holders wer balanced prior to being attached onto the tail output shaft. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Installing the tail gearbox completed the tail assembly. |
